Day 01 : Alleppey (House boat)
Arrival at Cochin, transfer to Alleppey( 80 kms / 1 and half hrs. ), popularly known as the "Venice of the East". On reaching Alleppey around 13:00 hrs here, a houseboat awaits you, for a magnificent backwater cruise. Kettuvalloms or House Boats (Riceboat) are country boats that were used in the early days for the transport of goods from the isolated interior villages to the towns. With the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services, gradually the Kettuvalloms went off the scene. Now, these Kettuvalloms are back again as a major Tourist attraction. A ride on a Kettuvallom is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters. The modern House Boat is constructed with eco friendly local raw materials. To cruise down the meandering backwaters, the hull carved from 'Anjily' wood is treated with traditional lore to make it water resistant. The arched roof canopy, 'Valavara' is made from bamboo, Arcanut tree and bound with natural coir. The flooring is of wood and marinated plywood. The interiors have modern amenities with eco friendly sewage facilites etc.

AA glide in a House Boat through the enchanting backwaters of Alleppey is sure to steal your heart. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets lined up along either sides of the canals are panoramic sights one can never forget. Flocks of ducks swimming around the banks and tiny birds flying across the sky remain as enduring pictures, reflecting the charm of the unique land.
Day 02 : Cochin
After breakfast ( 9:00 am ), you will be departing to the Cochin Airport with an everlasting memorable feeling of the House Boat cruises.
