Day 01 : Airport / Delhi
Arrive at Delhi airport; get assistance upon arrival and a transfer to the
hotel, stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi
Have breakfast at the hotel. Later, leave for a full day tour of New & Old Delhi. Old Delhi was one of the capitals of Muslim India between the 12th and 13th centuries. Its bustling roads and lanes are full of historical and interesting monuments like the Jama Masjid, Red Fort (view from out side), Gandhi Samadhi. Drive past the busy lanes of Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, leave for a half-day tour of New Delhi, a city designed by the British emperor. Visit the India Gate, Rastrapathi Bhawan (Presidential House) Government Buildings and the famous Qutab Minar. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi / Agra
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then, leave for Agra. Arrive Agra and proceed onwards to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Taj Mahal was built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the Queen of Shahjahan, in 1631. This marble dream took almost 22 years to be constructed and was completed in 1653. It is one of the wonders of the world. Later, visit the Agra fort which lies on the bend of the River Yamuna. Drive through the busy streets back to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Agra / Jaipur
Early morning after breakfast, drive for Jaipur via Sikri, also known as the deserted city. It was built in Red Sandstone by Emperor Akbar as his capital, in the late 16th Century. Visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world. Later, drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and proceed to your hotel. Have the afternoon to yourself. Stay overnight at the hotel
Day 05 : Jaipur
Have breakfast at the hotel. Later, leave for a full day tour of Amber fort, which was constructed by Mansingh I in 1592 and was completed by Jai Singh II. Enjoy a short Elephant ride from the foothill till the fort. Visit the Jag Mandir and enjoy the beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu style architecture. Later, visit the Hawa Mahal, which is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Visit the Jantar Mantar, the best of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II. Later, visit the city palace, which has a delightful blend of Mughal and Rajasthan architecture. Drive past the busy Pink City. Have the rest of the evening free. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Jaipur / Mandawa
After
breakfast, drive for Mandawa. Today, the world comes to this storybook town
to see its colorful frescoes on every subject under the sun, that is,
ranging from the religious to the erotic; from copies of popular English
prints to witty social satire, rendered in the inimitable style of the local
artist. And perhaps the best place to discover the legacy of Shekhawati is
from the comfort of Castle Mandawa, a fortress, now converted into a
luxurious heritage hotel. Explore Castle Mandawa at your own pace. Spend a
leisurely hour over a drink in the colonial verandah that accommodates the
bar, or relax in the cozy comfort of the Diwankhana, the formal drawing room
decorated with family portraits and an array of antique armour. Overnight at
the hotel.
Day 07 : Mandawa / Bikaner
Have breakfast at the hotel. Later, drive to Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner and proceed onwards to your hotel. The city of Bikaner lies on the northern point of the triangle of Desert Cities. This city was established by a Rathore Prince Bika and came to be called Bikaner, after him. While other cities of Rajasthan are rich in lakes and pleasure pavilion, Bikaner seems quite bare in that respect. Given its severe climatic conditions, the wealth of its architectural heritage lies in its fort, palaces and temples. In the afternoon, visit the Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, camel breeding farm and drive past the city. Stay overnight at the hotel
Day 08 : Bikaner / Jaisalmer
After breakfast, drive to the golden city, Jaisalmer. Arrive at Jaisalmer in the afternoon. You will get assistance on arrival and proceed onwards to your hotel. Jaisalmer was founded in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal. The old city of Jaisalmer lies in the fort, which stands almost 100 meters from the city and houses an entire living area within its huge ramparts. In the fort, visit the famous Jain Temples dating back from the 12th to 15th Centuries. Outside the fort, visit the main market place called the Manek Chowk
Day 09 : Jaisalmer
Have
breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, walk into the lanes where the famous
carved havelies are to be found. Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmalji Ki Haveli and
Salim Singhji Ki Haveli are the better known havelies. Later, visit the
Gadisisar Lake and the Bara Bagh. In the evening, drive to the dunes for a
short camel ride and enjoy the sun set. Return back to the hotel for the
night.
Day 10 : Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jodhpur, also known as the sun city. Arrive Jodhpur and proceed onwards to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a half day tour of the city visiting the Mehrangarh Fort where you can visit the Moti Mahal ( Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal. Later, visit the Jaswant Thada, a collection of royal cenotaphs built in white marble. See the Umaid Bhawan Palace which now houses a Heritage Hotel. Later, drive past the city. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Jodhpur / Udaipur
Have breakfast at the hotel. Later, drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur. Rana Kumbha of Mewar gave a large stretch of land in a quiet and picturesque valley to the Jains. This area was called as Ranakpur. These temples are over 500 years old. It has 29 halls, 80 domes and 1,444 pillars and no two pillars are alike!! Later, proceed to Udaipur, the Lake City. After arriving, check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Udaipur
In the morning, you will visit the city of lakes, Udaipur. This city is
assimilated around three lakes, Lake Pichola, Lake Fateh Sagar and Lake Udai
Sagar. During your tour of city, you would visit the City Palace, which
stands on a low ridge all along the shore of the Lake Pichola. Visit the
Jagdish Temple, the Sahelion Ki Bari and drive past the city. Have the rest
of the afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Udaipur / Delhi
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. Have the day free to relax or explore the lake city on your own. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi.
